BASIC SKIN CARE ROUTINE TO MAKE YOUR SKIN GLOWING&HEALTHY

1. CLEANSING

This is a most basic habit in skincare routine. The cleansing your face with cleanser or facewash is used to remove dust dirt, makeup, dead skin cell, acne, oil, dark spots and all other types of pollutants & problem from face. Cleanser can be used twice a day on a daily basis. There are millions of cleaners or facewash in market . It is not always possible that a cleanser which suits to your friends will also suit you because both can have different face type . So, always buy a cleanser or facewash according to your face type. Don’t go with cleanser which contain paraben, sulphate, phthalates, synthetic colors, and other harmful chemical .

2. TONING

This is optional. It is used to maintain the pH level of skin which has been deteriorated by cleansing. There are specialized toner in market for toning according to your face type. Apart from maintaining pH, toning also helps in tightening pores, hydration purpose, treatment of acne and to remove any last traces of dirt & impurities stuck in your skin pore after you wash your face. Toner is applied on skin gently by dapping or by cotton spreading it all over the skin of your face. Avoid toners which contain alcohol and other harmful chemicals.

3. MOISTURIZING

As the name suggests moisturizing means providing moisture to your skin. A moisturizer is applied immediately after washing your face to avoid dryness or excess oil on your face. As all other products, there are varieties of moisturizers available in market. So, buy a face-wash according to your face type (dry, oily, combination and sensitive). If you are unaware of your face type then don’t worry very soon I am going to make separate blog on “ how to know your face type?”

4. SCRUBBING/ EXFOLIATING

Scrub is used to cleanse the skin pores and remove the dead skin occasionally. Scrubbing is used to gain that cleanser fails to do. A scrub contain small granules which are gently rubbed on face to remove impurities from face. Don’t scrub too harsh or on a daily basis as it can damage your face. You should not exfoliate more than twice or thrice a week. If you are having dry or sensitive skin try to limit it once or twice a week as it can make your skin more dry and can cause other problems on face.

5. APPLYING SUNSCREEN

The UV rays ( both UVA and UVB ) coming from sun can cause damage to skin. The damage of UV rays cause pre- aging, cancer and of harmful skin problems some of which can be fatal. Sunscreen also known as suncream, sunblock and sun lotion. Sunscreen is used to block or reflect these rays from skin. Sunscreen should be applied after using moisturizer and 30 minutes before going outdoor in sun. Choose a sunscreen that has an SPF (suns protecting factor , always written on sunscreen) of 30 or higher , is water resistant, and provides broad-spectrum coverage, which means it protects you from UVA and UVB rays.

Make it a part of your life to follow these points daily. After following these points for a week, you will see drastic changes on your face. Your skin will start glowing, pimples will start disappearing, spots will start lightning. For result, constancy is required.
